1Consequently, the aforesaid words are not the form of this sacrament.
2Therefore, neither is this sacrament consecrated by any created power of the aforesaid words.
3Objection 1: It seems that in the aforesaid words of the forms there is no created power which causes the consecration.
4And therefore the aforesaid words have this power in the last instant of their being uttered, taken in conjunction with those uttered before.
5This would have been, at that time death to me; such was my opinion of Cranstoun, and for this reason I used the aforesaid words.
6Hence after the aforesaid words Augustine subjoins: "He operates that we may will; and when we will, He cooperates that we may perfect."
