The Marshall Islands government is hoping Japan will help fund a major water and sewer upgrade on Majuro atoll.

The effort, involving the health ministry, public works and utility companies, will involve spraying mosquito breeding areas around Majuro Atoll.

The group, which reportedly included an 11-year-old boy, left Majuro Atoll on 21 April for Arno Atoll, about 24 kilometres to the east.
