Toshiba is also working on 30- nanometer production.

To achieve the increased capacity, SanDisk did two things: Switch to a 32- nanometer production process, and stack eight memory chips vertically inside the microSD card.

It is based on the 45- nanometer production technology that first appeared in a server chip called Xeon (aka Penryn), which debuted earlier this year.

This processor is expected to be more efficient than the current A7 chip, thanks in part to a new 20 nanometer production process.

They come in a two-chip package that includes an Arrandale processing core made using 32- nanometer production technology and a graphics processor made using 45-nm technology.
