Australian health experts say two men there have been diagnosed with multi-drug resistant gonorrhoea.

The World Health Organization is calling on countries to monitor the spread of resistant gonorrhoea and to invest in new drugs.

Provisional figures suggest a rise in HIV diagnoses in 2015, and a marked increase in cases of antibiotic- resistant gonorrhoea since 2010.
