The purpose was to evaluate retinal function by measuring pupillary responses to sinusoidal transcorneal electrostimulation in healthy young human subjects.

We demonstrate that pupillary responses to sinusoidal transcorneal electrostimulation are measurable as an objective marker in healthy young subjects, even at very low stimulus intensities.
