We investigated the relationship between anemia and clinical course of acute ICH.

Conclusions: The use of prophylactic AEDs was not associated with improved short and long outcomes after acute ICH.

Conclusions: Very early surgical treatment for acute ICH is difficult to achieve but feasible at academic medical centers and community hospitals.

Conclusions: Anemia is common in acute ICH and its presence at admission is an independent predictor of larger volume of ICH.
