Causes.-Acutecoryza, acutepharyngitis, influenza, scarlet fever, inflammation of the eustachian tube, gargling, bathing, employing the nasal douche or violently blowing the nose.

Case presentation: A girl aged 4 years 3 months showed severe generalized choreic movements with concomitant signs of acutepharyngitis.

Acutepharyngitis is commonly caused by viruses and does not need antibiotics.
