Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co closed its $200 million bond, Caelus Re II, in May to cover U.S hurricanes and earthquakes.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co launched its U.S. hurricane and earthquake, Caelus Re at the beginning of the month with a BB+ rating from S&P.

Caelus Re is the eighth bond to close before the start of the U.S. wind season, bringing the total issuance to $1.8 billion.
