The levels of IgM- and IgA-RF were significantly higher in patients with diffuse cutaneous SSc than in those with limited cutaneous SSc.

No significant differences were observed when the variables were analyzed in the patients classified as having limited cutaneous SSc or diffuse cutaneous SSc.

Patients and methods: Twenty female patients affected by SSc (8 with diffuse cutaneous SSc and 12 with limited cutaneous SSc) were enrolled in our study.
