BBI shareholders are scheduled to vote on the Brookfield proposal on Monday.

BBI has previously knocked back a recapitalization proposal from RBS, citing execution risks.

It has also said the RBS proposal was unlikely to materially lower BBI's gearing.

The company in June put off plans to spin-off of its unit, BBI Diagnostics.

In the drug self-administration procedure, BBI-11008 did not maintain self-administration at any dose tested.
