Abby began to hum a simple, wordless ditty in four-four time.

Sometimes the song's done traditional, you know, four-four time, but the words are in English, so that makes it half English, half Hawaiian.

In place of: "two-two time, three-eight time, four-four time," say as above: "This piece is written in two-half measure, three-eighth measure, four-quarter measure."
