Dunkin' said its National Donut Day promotion last month, which entitled customers to a free donut with every drink purchased, also brought in many customers.

Iain Burke, a University of California at Berkeley student and Flickr user, said he came to the city Wednesday just to get a free donut.

This program is the equivalent of giving away free donuts but charging 10 bucks for an apple.

The group mockingly stated "If we get 20,000 people to join the group Flickr will be forced to give us free donuts!"
