This Aubrey has much gypsum in it, great beds of alabaster that are pure white in comparison with the great body of limestone below.

These beds are covered by others of a peculiar soft white stone, including much gypsum, and resembling chalk, but really of a pumiceous nature.

The salt is white, very hard, and compact: it occurs in water worn nodules projecting from the agglutinated sand, and is associated with much gypsum.
