After the filler has hardened, sand it lightly and put on a coat of orange shellac.

The best orange shellac must be dissolved in good cold alcohol by shaking the materials together in a bottle.

Use 4 drams grain alcohol, 2 drams orange shellac, 5 drams tincture of benzoin, 1 teaspoonful of olive oil.

Orange shellac is stronger than the "bleached" variety.
