Meanings of polyketide synthase in English

As part of our ongoing studies into the mechanisms and control of polyketide biosynthesis, we report the second structure of a polyketide synthase ACP.

Although many carrier protein three-dimensional structures have been determined, to date there is no model available for a fungal type I polyketide synthase ACP.

Our results indicate that PteF activates the transcription from two promoters of polyketide synthase genes directly, and indirectly of other genes of the cluster.

Further, the native gene responsible for the production of macrolactin, the gene encoding polyketide synthase was reduced in copy number after the application of macrolactin.
