Tight hamstrings, lumbar-pelvic range of motion, and sagittal balance were evaluated.

Patients most likely to develop complications: high sagittal balance grade and fusion to sacrum.

Coronal and sagittal balance was achieved in all the patients, and shoulder levels were equalized.

Pre-operatively, patients can be divided into four categories based on the flexibility and sagittal balance of the spine.

Results: Restoration of coronal and sagittal balance, or improvement thereof, was achieved in all the patients with balance problems.
