The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of somnofluoroscopy in the selection of candidates for uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP).

Conclusions: Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty is successful treatment for obstructive events occurring in the lateral sleep position, especially in patients without positional dependency.
