Meanings of w or z boson in English

We select events with a final state composed of a W or Z boson and a jet consistent with a heavy object decay.

Events with a hadronic jet with the jet mass consistent with a W or Z boson, and with large missing transverse momentum are analyzed.

In addition, cross section limits on the anomalous production of W or Z bosons with large missing transverse momentum are set in two fiducial regions.

This intimate connection is required by the symmetries; it also dictates the rate at which Higgs bosons decay into pairs of W or Z bosons.
