Even thought recovery of proprioceptive bladder sensation is fast, a full recovery of spontaneous voiding requires a much longer time.

At follow-up spontaneous voiding was seen in 29 patients (69%).

Spontaneous voiding was achieved in all patients immediately after stent insertion, with improvements in voiding parameters and symptom scores.
