Arthroscopic ACL excision was performed on eight matched cadaveric knees.

The mechanical data were compared with immediate postoperative data obtained from 45 reconstructed fresh cadaveric knees.

Nine additional fresh-frozen cadaveric knees (19 total) were dissected for a further anatomical description.
